KK NULL x Dao De Noise

Tokyo, Japan’s Kazuyuki Kishino (aka KK NULL) is one of the top names in Japanese noise and has been one of the great cult artists in experimental music since the 1980's.

In the early 90's, Kishino gained worldwide recognition as mastermind, guitarist, and singer behind progressive hardcore band Zeni Geva, releasing five albums produced by Steve Albini (two on Jello Biafra's Alternative Tentacles label).

While guitar was his main instrument for nearly thirty years, Kishino has gradually moved towards a more electronic approach. Since the late 90's, he has been concentrating efforts on his solo and collaborative work, exploring the outer territories of electronica. The artist spawns intense clashing waves of noise, structured electro-acoustic ambience, broken-down rhythmics, scattered pitch sculptures and droning isolationist material which could be described "cosmic noise maximal/minimalism".

KK NULL has worked with luminaries such as John Zorn, Sonic Youth, Merzbow, and countless others.

Ukraine's Artem Pismenetskii conceived Dao De Noise in 2011 as the pure unification of noise and ambient music. In the decade since its inception, the project has contributed to more than 70 releases with artists around the world such as Merzbow, Hiroshi Hasegawa, Anla Courtis, Freiband, Napalmed, Naoki Ishida and more.

The all-consuming pentalogy from the collaboration of KK NULL and Dao De Noise, Digital Demons is available now via GIVE/TAKE and Justin K Broadrick's (Godflesh) Avalanche Recordings.
