In “That’s No Life,” the bittersweet new deathpop single from the forthcoming Wild Wonders EP, Bijou Noir characteristically looks at toxic cycles of addiction and love.
Simultaneously plaintive and fierce, the song’s sharp imagery draws us into a world of desperate feelings blunted by inebriation and fixation. And yet, despite the longing, a flicker of hope remains. Do we yet have the power to break free from the things that haunt us?

"We couldn’t quit each other, despite our best efforts. At one point someone asked me, 'How long have you been trying to break up with her?' and the answer was measured in years. Everybody’s got their own way of losing control, and for a long while, my way was her. I hope I never have another muse."
