Dogtablet
Formed after industrial icons Test Dept disbanded, Martin King originally created Dogtablet as a music production company. As the landscape of the industry continues to shift, Dogtablet continually evolves into something entirely non-traditional.
Based in London since the mid-80s when he joined guitarist Steve White (KMFDM/PIG) in groups Tragic Roundabout and Pulse, King joined early-industrial innovators Test Dept in 1990, touring, recording and producing tracks for the Totality, Legacy and Tactics for Evolution albums. After their signing to Martin Atkins’ Invisible Records and while on tour in the States, King was invited to join Atkins’ industrial supergroup Pigface for both A New High in Low and Redneck tours.
The work of core Dogtablet members King and Roberto Soave (The Associates, Shelleyan Orphan, Presence) goes from lushly intimate darkwave to brashly sweaty electro-industrial, with King's production sweeping from the delicate to darkly hypnotic, groove-drenched to the disturbed and back again. With each release, Dogtablet coalesces vocal talents from around the world, creating a new, breathing hybrid of electronic and organic animal.
Significant collaborations include Groovie Mann (My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult), Jared Louche (Chemlab), Roger Ebner (Pigface), Curse Mackey, Betty X, Jane Jensen, KPT, DEATHDANCE and many, many more.
Their next full-length, Designed To Fade is due on GIVE/TAKE in 2026.
